Democracy for Change in Liberia - 2005 Elections welcomes any and all young people that have the desire to promote youth participation in the political process and the Elections of 2005.  The importance of the Elections of 2005 can not be overemphasized considering the issues at stake now in Liberia.  We are interested in young Liberians in the United States, Europe, Liberia and  all over the world with experience in community organizing and even young people that have never been exposed to grassroots organizing but are interested in the political process in Liberia.  This is our future and our children's future and time is running out.  We want to bring the dreams and hope of our people alive by empowering citizens to let their voices be heard on elections day. 

Democracy for Change in Liberia for the 2005 General Elections is non-partisan and non-profit organization and is funded exclusively through private donations and through its many members and others interested in the political process in Liberia.   Because Democracy for Change in Liberia has only a small staff and operating costs at this time, immediate financial contribute is not necessary or  needed NOW.  But, we will encourage you to  keep us in the mind in the near future and please continue to support our work at this time by researching information on all candidates contesting for President, Senate, House of Representatives and other local governments in Liberia.  We must inform our voters where these politicians stand on every issues affecting the lives of the Liberian people.

In the next coming months, we will be raising  money for DCL2005 to carryout some of its activities in Liberia before, during and after the general elections.  We will be printing flyers, creating banners, billboards, hosting events, parties, and advertising in major newspapers, radio and television stations in Liberia to bring our message to the Liberian people.  We can not do all of these alone and we will be depending on donations from people like you. This will be a great task so keep us in mind and help spread the news to your friends, family and others interested Liberians and non-Liberians.

What will volunteers be doing?

Our young volunteers will be carrying on the following functions and more...

• Register voters throughout the country at sporting events, schools, street corners, bars, clubs, concerts, and any where ever young people are
• Organize sporting tournaments and events to create awareness for the elections
• Organize musical concerts
• Encourage parents, market women, students, civic servants, other professionals and others to vote
• And above all, empower our Young People
