In a democratic society, no power is more potent than dependable, relevant and well-organized information about candidates for public office in the hands of voters before Election Day.  Objective facts detailing the candidates' background and stand on issues and a reliable and impartial source to contact with questions are a voter's only self-defense against the current political campaign in Liberia. The source for such a information must be a totally independent, nonpartisan and objective entity that always put the interest of the voter first and provides its services free of cost.  This is exactly why  Democracy for Change in Liberia for the 2005 Elections was formed to give voters an objective background information about the various candidates and where they stand on every issues affecting the Liberian people.

A knowledgeable electorate is the strongest component of a functioning democracy.   Information about elected officials and candidates is crucial to maintaining the defense of one's rights and privileges guaranteed under the Constitution of Liberia and we want voters to exercise such privileges.   In that spirit, Democracy for Change in Liberia for the 2005 Elections will provide a comprehensive information about all  candidates for the Presidency, Senate, House of Representative, and other local elected positions.
