What is Democracy for change in Liberia?

Democracy for change in Liberia for the 2005 Elections is a catalyst for a new kind of grassroots involvement supporting busy but concerned Liberians in the United Sates, Europe, other parts of the world and within Liberia in finding their political voice and in helping them to select a leader that will address the issues that Liberians will face for the next four years and more.

With so many political parties and presidential candidates in Liberia today, finding the right candidate or party to address the needs and issues affecting the Liberian people can be difficult. Democracy for Change in Liberia for the 2005 Elections is working to increase voter registration, increase political consciousness and awareness, and to bring ordinary Liberians back into politics. With a political system that today revolves around massive corruption in government and based on "who you know" within the system, most Liberians are left out of the development and political process.

It is becoming clear to almost all Liberians that our political leaders have failed and continue to fail us for many decades and our democracy structure and the future of our children and grand children are in peril. We are working to bring ordinary Liberians back into politics.

The Elections of 2005 will be one of the most significant elections of this generation. The President, Senators, Representatives, and other local officials will be elected. It is within the presidency or the executive branch of government and the senate that the most crucial decisions will be made. The next four years will centered around the hopes and improvement of the lives of the Liberian people and there are lot at stake during this election. Through Democracy for Change in Liberia and the help of thousands of young Liberians like you, we can all come together to effect those changes necessary to save our country from those old corrupt politicians that have failed us and our nation.
